20 Countries in 12 Months in 2012

First, I really want to thank all my family, friends and strangers who took the time to vote for me to go to New Zealand. Whether or not I do win this epic trip of a lifetime, I do plan to eventually make my way and share with you it’s beauty.

My entry to the contest –

So where did this desire to travel the world begin? It all started with my parents love to haul 5 kids to various places. The world became a beautiful and curious place for me to explore.

I remember the summers I’d stare up at the night sky where my imagination would take me to trips into space. Although that may not happen in my lifetime, I can explore this world now. Through the years, I’ve had the pleasure to travel to many countries in Asia, Europe and North America. But my curiosity to learn continues to grow and my desire to share the world increases as well.

“If I don’t change direction, I’ll end up where I am headed.”

This old adage resonated in my head so I wanted to change course or maybe take some deviations to my final destination. I’ve been asked if I am soul-searching or looking to find myself. I have to say I am fortunate to know who I am and have found my soul. My soul desires to discover, explore and make connections in our green planet.

A few days ago, I spent some time speaking with my neighbors at 1609 Woodland. It sparked an idea (got to love my marketing mind). I would brand my trip – 20 countries in 12 months in 2012. My goal is to explore 20 countries, videotape my experience and share with you, the world and hopefully inspire others to explore the world.

During the fall, I began to sell my things. I’ve sold off or donated most of my belongings with three additional boxes of clothing I have shipped to the Philippines.

Here is a glimpse of my old bachelor pad in Palo Alto.

Now, here is a video of my last day in my apartment. I originally took this video to make sure my apartment management company would not say I left it in disrepair. Yes, I’m a clean individual. –

I’ve also been asked what I did with my car and the answer to that question is that I have sold it back to the dealership.

Again, many thanks for your love and looking forward to uploading pictures, videos and updating my blog to share with you the world.
