If you are interested in something, then show some interest.

If you are interested in something, then show some interest.

It’s that simple people. That’s one of my secrets to life. If you like art, you can pick up painting or go visit a museum. If you like traveling, you can read travel blogs, travel the world or take day trips. Most of us if we are serious about something that interests us will do something to satisfy those interests. It’s taking that time – the minute or the seconds to devote attention to something you’ve stated held your interest.

If you like someone, you show them your interested by showing affection.

I’m just saying…if he likes you, he’ll show some interest. This interest will manifest in a phone call, an email, a text, a Facebook wall post or a giant message in Times Square. There really isn’t an excuse that you haven’t heard a word. Unless, he’s in the jungles and even I know you can still get mobile coverage out there.

You are with someone because of how they make you feel. So. If you feel neglected, the answer is pretty simple, yes?

One can say the same thing about a job. If you are interested in what it is you are doing, you’ll tend to get higher reviews leading to higher raises, hopefully. Ok, jobs give us monetary rewards that allow us to do things that give us joy…that interests us. Careers are things we do, that we love…for the most part. They usually stem from things that we are interested in and able to turn that interest into a paying job, a career.

Can we say the same thing about friendships? If we haven’t heard much from a friend and contacts are sparse, have we reached out to them? Can we ask ourselves if our interests in them have drifted away, to make time for other friends that interest us more? Have they made time for other friends that held their interests?

The relationships, employments and friendships that do not work out shouldn’t hold you down. As long as you understand, that we all have a choice to follow what holds our interests.

So why continue to do something that doesn’t interest you? Why NOT do something, even if its a small something, that interest you?
