Perfection is Overrated
Perfection is overrated. Actually, it doesn’t exist. I read once that the universe was created because of an imperfection in gravity. I’m not an astrophysicist but I am a thinker.
You got it – it got me thinking!
The goal of perfection actually prevents us from doing anything. If we wait for the perfect time, the perfect day or the perfect (fill your word here) nothing happens. There is no Big Bang! You can aim to make yourself better but that is a process. Just like how the universe is expanding, you should look at expanding your horizons.
Accept our imperfections and use that to create our ‘universe.’ Just look up at the night sky. How beautiful is that?! It’s not judging, not confrontational and yes it is dark and vast. But, in its darkness, are glimmers of “diamonds.” I stole that term from Rihanna.
(Yes, this is the actual image of the sky above me at 2AM on 2/22/13)
The universe may seem chaotic but there is order in its chaos. Our lives at times might also seem chaotic.
But, take a step back.
Look around you.
Open your eyes to the bigger picture.
You may not be surrounded by stars and or gaseous planets. Your universe in its darkest hour is filled with diamonds – loved ones and yes gaseous people too!
