Exploring The Ruins of Angkor Thom
Just arrived in Siem Reap, Cambodia and ready to explore.
Ok, so I didn’t know much about Cambodia. I lie I had no clue what Cambodia offered until I was asked to go meet up with my friend Jae in Siem Reap.

I flew from Singapore into Siem Reap, Cambodia which was a 3 hour flight using Singapore Airlines. Flight was uneventful and the process to get through immigrations was a bit…let’s just say…governmental bureaucracy. So we exit the plane and follow the lines to get visas on arrival. I had to make sure I had passport size photos available and $20 for the fee. I start the process with one individual who takes my cash. Then I move down the line until I am asked to wait as my passport is passed from one person to another. I am called up and given my passport with my Cambodian Visa.
The airport is quite small. The moment I exit I am greeted by Jae who has arranged a driver to bring us back to our resort.
We wanted to make good use of our time so off to Angkor Thom!
I didn’t expect to run into actual monks wearing saffron robes. These were child monks and they let me take a picture. They were also exploring this holy site.
